Privacy Policy
Effective April 17, 2026 · Last updated April 17, 2026
The short version
We don’t collect your data. Your calculations run entirely in your browser. Nothing you calculate is sent to our servers.
1. What we do NOT collect
EverydayApps does not collect, store, or transmit:
- Personal information: no name, email, phone number, or account data.
- Calculation inputs or results: what you calculate stays in your browser.
- Location data.
- Device information: no device IDs, serial numbers, or hardware fingerprinting.
- Behavioral tracking: we don’t track which calculators you use or how often.
- Cookies: the calculators don’t use them.
- Analytics tied to you: we don’t know who you are or what you’ve calculated.
2. What IS stored on your device
When you use EverydayApps, your browser may store:
- Recent calculations: some calculators save your last few inputs to
localStoragefor convenience. - Theme preference: your light/dark mode choice is saved locally.
- Standard browser cache: images, CSS, and JS files, as with any website.
This data never leaves your device. You control it — clear your browser data and it’s gone. We cannot access, see, or retrieve it.
3. Server logs
Like any website, our DreamHost-hosted servers generate standard Apache access logs containing your IP address, user agent (browser and OS), date and time of requests, and the requested resource path. These logs are a standard part of operating any web server. Retention is governed by DreamHost’s default policy. We don’t analyze them to build profiles of users — they exist for security and troubleshooting, nothing more.
4. Cookies
EverydayApps does not use cookies. The calculators function entirely without them. If we add lightweight, privacy-respecting analytics in the future (such as aggregate-only tools that don’t use cookies), this policy will be updated and we’ll remain cookie-free.
5. Third parties
EverydayApps is hosted on DreamHost shared hosting. By using our tools, you’re connecting to DreamHost’s servers, and their standard hosting policies apply. We don’t share or sell data to any third parties — there are no analytics vendors, CDNs, ad networks, or external services watching your use of our calculators.
6. Children’s privacy
EverydayApps is not directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect data from children. If you’re under 13, please ask a parent or guardian before using our tools.
7. California residents
If you reside in California, you have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). Because we don’t collect personal information, these rights are largely moot — there’s no data for us to disclose, delete, or port. If you have questions, contact us at the address below.
8. Data security
Because we don’t collect or store your data, there’s nothing to breach. All connections use HTTPS. We don’t maintain databases of user information, so the biggest security risk — data theft — doesn’t apply here.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy at any time. Changes take effect when posted to this page. We recommend reviewing it periodically.
